CHALLENGE 1
(Foundational to Future Challenges)
By accepting this challenge, over the next several months you will be challenged in ways that have the potential to change your life, sounds like a miracle, doesn’t it? Simply put a miracle is change, if we leave this definition alone it really takes the excitement and wonder out of it doesn’t it? If something is miraculous, the change is extraordinary, it is exciting and it alters your life. There are four attributes that create a desire for change in a person, and they are Suffering, Striving, Seeking, and Strengthening.
All challenges require work; these are no exception to the rule. Your first challenge may be one of the hardest. You are hereby issued with the challenge to accept your faults, your shortcomings, and your weaknesses. Each day after you wake up, take some time to reflect on the events of the previous day. Search your heart and consider what you could have done differently, particularly the actions that could improve your character. As these are identified you should Seek God in prayer and ask for guidance. With each day intentionally Striving to conduct yourself better than the day before. Most importantly each day mimicking the love of the Suffering servant, Jesus Christ. Ultimately strengthening your personal relationship with God.
Completing this challenge is foundational for those that follow. After this month you should be noticeably different, in such a way others will notice a significance in you that holds purpose and value. You will be prepared to tackle the next challenge with determination and focus.
Challenge 1 - Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2, NLT).
